La description
The Deseret alphabet was developed between 1847 and 1854 by the board of regents of the University of Deseret under the leadership of Brigham Young to displace The Latin alphabet 0041–007A for the most accurate representation of English phonetics. The Shavian alphabet 10450–1047F was created for the same purposes.
