Lydian alphabet had been used to write the Lydian language from VIII to III century B.C. As Lycian alphabet, it is a descendant of  Phoenician 10900–1091F , even though the letter tracing resembles  Greek 0391–03C9 . It is vocalic-consonantal. Early Lydian texts were written either from left to right or from right to left. Later texts all run from right to left. Lydian uniquely features a quotation mark in the shape of a right triangle 𐤿 .
