Descrição
Tagalog was widespread in the Philippines. It is a;so know as Baybayin or Alibata. The term “baybayín” means “to write” or “to spell (syllabize)” in Tagalog. Before Spanish came to the Philippines, it had been the main writing system. It is considered as belonging to the family of The Brahmic scripts 11000–1104D . The arrived Christians had been using it at first until XIX century when the latin-based writing system was created to displace old Tagalog alphabet.
