Descrizione

The Old Permic script, sometimes called Abur or Anbur, was introduced by a Russian missionary, Stepan Khrap, also known as Saint Stephen of Perm in 1372 to write the Finno-Ugric languages. The name Abur is derived from the names of the first two characters: ๐ and ๐‘ . The script derived from  Cyrillic  0410โ€“0474 and  Greek  0391โ€“03C9 , with Komi ยซTamgaยป signs, the latter being similar in the appearance to Runes. The script was in use until XVII century, when it was superseded by the Cyrillic script.
