Emoji Meaning
A field hockey stick and a ball, played on the grass or in the field. Not to be confused with a traditional ice hockey stick and a hockey puck.
The symbol “Field Hockey” is included in the “Sport symbols” subblock of the “Miscellaneous Symbols and Pictographs” block and was approved as part of Unicode version 8.0 in 2015. In 2015, it was also approved as an Emoji in version 1.0 and added to the “Sport” subcategory of the “Activities” category.
