A royal son, or prince, meant to be a gender pair for the princess emoji. It is depicted as a guy wearing a crown, the future king.
The symbol “Prince” is included in the “Portrait and role symbols” subblock of the “Supplemental Symbols and Pictographs” block and was approved as part of Unicode version 9.0 in 2016. In 2016, it was also approved as an Emoji in version 3.0 and added to the “Person Role” subcategory of the “People & Body” category.
