The symbol “Trade Mark” is included in the “Letterlike symbols” subblock of the “Letterlike Symbols” block and was approved as part of Unicode version 1.1 in 1993. In 2015, it was also approved as an Emoji in version 1.0 and added to the “Other Symbols” subcategory of the “Symbols” category.
