The symbol named “Property line” is a ligature of the Latin letters P and L. The symbol can be used instead of the abbreviation or acronym “PL”, which stands for various phrases such as private line, plural, power law, programming language, etc.

The symbol “Property Line” is included in the “Additional letterlike symbols” subblock of the “Letterlike Symbols” block and was approved as part of Unicode version 3.2 in 2002.
