This symbol has proved to be extremely useful in geographic map legends, IQ assessment tests, clothing labeling, and textual graphics.

What comes to geographic maps, it is usually applied there to represent deposits of valuable minerals such as clay and ceramsite clays.

This symbol consists of 5 bars and it is very popular in IQ tests. It can often be put next to the symbols with different numbers of bars or a plain square.
