The symbol “Shamrock” is included in the “Miscellaneous symbols” subblock of the “Miscellaneous Symbols” block and was approved as part of Unicode version 4.1 in 2005. In 2015, it was also approved as an Emoji in version 1.0 and added to the “Other Plants” subcategory of the “Animals & Nature” category.
