Animaux & Nature Emoji

Unicode contains a lot of various emoticons and emojis. Among them you can find different symbols of animals, including symbols of the year or Chinese horoscope animals: Horse 🐴, Tiger 🐯, Dragon 🐲 and others.

The legend is widespread in East telling an interesting story of Chinese zodiac signs. Long, long ago, when the wise old Lord Buddha was dying, he called together all the animals to help guard and protect the year. So he spread the message that the earlier one went through the Heavenly Gate, the better the rank one would have. The animals had to cross a rapid current river and reach the finish line on the shore. There were only twelve winners: The first came Rat 🐀, then came Ox 🐂. After them was Tiger 🐅, Rabbit 🐇, Dragon 🐉, Snake 🐍, Horse 🐎, Goat 🐐, Monkey 🐒, Rooster 🐓, Dog 🐕 and Boar 🐗. The Great Buddha assigned each animal as a symbol of one lunar year and the Heavenly Gate.

Now everyone can use those animals as Christmas and New Year symbols. Copy and paste an emoji you like.

Except symbols of year, the set collects a great variety of wild and domestic animals and birds: from chicken to camel. Interestingly, some animals have several emoticons: its head only 🐤, and in full height 🐥. And some of them have one emoji only 🦖. Usually an animal looks to the left, when it is pictured in full height.

Emojis from section Nature are represented with sun, different moon phases and diverse plants mostly. Flowers from this section are very popular. Some have a positive meaning and are used to express love 🌹, happiness 🌺, or in congratulations and wishes 🌸. Some flowers are symbols of sorrow, sadness and loss 🥀.

Emojis of various weather events: from falling snow to a sunny day, are also extremely popular and can be seen not only in weather forecasts. Lightning bolt emoji ⚡ is often used to note breaking news. Fire emoji 🔥 can indicate a hot topic or a top-priority task. The colorful arc of a rainbow 🌈, as may appear after rain is commonly used to express gay pride by the LGBT movement as its symbol as frequently as a rainbow flag. Rainbow is also commonly used to convey various feelings of love and happiness.
